Who is Andy Ace?

Andy Ace is the creation of Patricia Egart.  Patricia is a former physical education teacher with a degree from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, and is Professional Tennis Registry  (PTR) certified.. She worked for the United States Tennis Association (USTA) Northern Section for eight years and was responsible for starting collegiate and corporate team tennis programs. She is an avid tennis player who has played on teams for sixteen years. She has coached boys and girls high school tennis teams for fourteen years and she has three children who play tennis.

Her real passion is sharing the game of tennis with children.  Patricia founded the Anoka Ramsey, Minnesota youth tennis program in 1999.  Over 400 youth ages three to eighteen participate in Anoka Ramsey QuickStart and USTA Jr. Team Tennis programs each year.  The Anoka Ramsey program was chosen to be a QuickStart pilot program in 2007.  Patricia has coached a team at the USTA Jr. Team Tennis National Championships.

She wrote her first book, Let's Play Tennis!  A Guide for Parents and Kids by Andy Ace, for the parents and children in her youth tennis program.  Parents were requesting information so they  could learn what their children had been taught and activities they could do together.

Patricia is working on fiction books featuring Andy Ace and friends.  Core values of friendship, family, respect, honesty, responsibility, self-control, teamwork, preparedness, communication, conflict resolution and hard work will be woven throughout the series.
